Features Training Division - PHFI
The Training Division at PHFI focuses on implementing various capacity-building initiatives toupgrade the knowledge, skills and core competencies of healthcare professionals in clinicalconditions and various public health domains.
It has trained over 38,000 healthcare professionals ofwhich 12,000+ affiliated to the government sector, through a pool of 108 National Experts, 624Faculty, 173 Observers, 600+ Training Centres in 127 cities, and 28 States & UTs across India.
It has collaboration with 12 state governments and professional bodies/govt.
across 10 countries in SouthAsia and Africa.
The division is implementing 27 training programs with robust modular curriculum, strong monitoring mechanism and certification process to ensure quality.The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a public private initiative launched in 2006 by the 14th Prime Minister of India, to build institutional and system capacity in India for strengthening education, training, research, technology innovation practice and policy in public health.
PHFIāsmandate is to build a āHealthier Indiaā through 3 core missions: a) Developing the public health workforce and setting standards, b) Advancing public health research and technology, c) Strengthening knowledge application and evidence-informed public health practice and policy.The creation of PHFI was enabled by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and was supported by several state governments, foundations and private sector philanthropy.The List of Capacity Building Initiatives are:1.
